Customization of Haulotte HA15IP for fighter assembly

Do you know that lifting equipment is actively used in the assembly of air transport?

The production of each aircraft is a technically complex multi-stage process. Aircraft consists of several hundred thousand parts and components. Because of this, the full production cycle from the first part to the time of delivery of the off-the-shelf unit takes many months.

Unlike automobile factories, manual production is still required in aircraft manufacturing, since many processes cannot be trusted with machines. Lifts are mainly used on the final assembly line in large hangars when high-altitude work is required.

Standard lifts specifications always require additional modernization, so that their operation during the aircraft assembly process is as productive and safe as possible. VERTEX has recently customized a new Haulotte HA 15 IP articulated boom lift. The lift will be operated at the enterprise for the assembly of modern fighter aircraft.

Haulotte 15IP has been upgraded with the following options:

  1. air supply to the basket;
  2. the central system of adding distilled water to traction batteries;
  3. collision avoidance system (developed by VERTEX) based on ultrasonic sensors, including a display - 4 sensors on the chassis, 6 sensors on the platform, processing module, display, connecting cables;
  4. a rubber bumper around the entire perimeter of the lower edge of the working platform, protruding beyond the platform by 10 cm;
  5. rubber coating around the perimeter of the lift’s handrails.

As a result, the maneuverable and compact electric Haulotte 15IP has become even more productive and safe to use. Now the machine is completely ready for work in a limited space at a complex assembly process, where each movement and any manipulation must be verified up to a millimeter.
