LLC "Velesstroy" works with VERTEX equipment

VERTEX company, which is the leader on the market of lifting equipment, has participated in the project "Yamal LNG", providing the construction of a liquefied natural gas manufacturing plant in 2017, which involved the best construction forces of our country. Among them - the company "Velesstroy" - one of the leading companies in the field of implementation of complex oil and gas facilities, and external electric power supply. On their account such large-scale projects as pipeline system of Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) oil pipeline "Purpe-Samotlor" Baltic Pipeline System (BPS and BPS-2) oil pipeline system "Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean" (ESPO-1 and ESPO -2).

For the project "Yamal LNG" "Velesstroy" purchased 11 units of self-propelled articulating boom lifts JLG600AJ and 3 units of JLG1250AJP from VERTEX, a leading Russian supplier of lifting equipment.

Dmitry Pankin, CEO of VERTEX, tells us about this cooperation.

- Dmitri, why did "Velesstroy" begin to work particularly with VERTEX?

- "Velesstroy" is a company, which prefers modern construction technologies using only tested and high-quality technical equipment in their work. The equipment, which provides operation in harsh environments, such as the Yamal Peninsula in the north of Western Siberia, where the project "Yamal LNG" will be implemented. We have already had a successful experience with this customer. In 2014, VERTEX has delivered two 43m self-propelled articulating Boom lifts to the "Yamal LNG". The customer appreciated the quality of our products, as well as the work of a special service department which fulfilled its obligations in full. So this time, when another demand for the purchase of new lifting equipment arose at "Velesstroy", they once again turned to us.

In this project, the JLG Oshkosh team took an active part. We kept in touch 24 hours per day, and held many meetings with the client. Representatives of "Velesstroy" visited "Oshkosh" and VERTEX facilities and assessed our opportunities. I want to thank the staff of Oshkosh, JLG, for what they do for the development of the market of lifting equipment in Russia. I am convinced that we still have a lot of interesting joint projects ahead.

- What are the specific features of the self-propelled articulating boom lifts supplied by VERTEX to "Yamal LNG"?

- Self-propelled articulating boom lifts are one of the most popular types of lifting equipment today. The main purpose of this equipment is raising and lowering people and tools to the object of work. Perhaps, this is why, articulating boom lifts are very popular in construction and industry, are used for installation of ventilation and fire equipment.

These models of JLG Lifts stand out among competitors due to the high quality of manufacture, expanded working envelope, a large horizontal outreach of the boom, good maneuverability and agility. The maximum working height of JLG600AJ can reach up to 20.46 m, and up to 40.3 for JLG1250AJP.

-You have mentioned that the project "Yamal LNG" is realized in the northeast of the Yamal Peninsula, which is notorious for frequent changes in temperature from +30 to -40 degrees Celsius. Have the lifts delivered by VERTEX been adapted to these weather conditions?

- Of course, for operation in the Arctic the lifting equipment was modernized. All our machines have a "winter package", which includes an engine heater, battery heater with subsequent charging, the upper control panel and LCD display on the bottom control panel.

There are 4 high-rise platforms such as (Genie 3200, Genie S125 (2 units), JLG 1350), as well as other articulating, scissor and telescopic lifts in our rental fleet.
