We were approached by a company which had a need to purchase the self-propelled lifts for the servicing of the vertical farm for the growing of the greens.

The vertical farm of 3 m height and 15 m extent, formed from five levels, is a structure of shelves with automated lighting, fertilization and irrigation systems.

The important condition of the client - the equipment must be self-propelled and as compact as possible - the width of the machines can’t exceed 0,8 m.

And we found a solution in the form of the mobile scissor lifts from the French manufacturer Haulotte - Optimum 8 model.

The Haulotte Optimum 8 electric scissor lift is the small-sized lifting equipment designed especially for the use indoors mostly, to optimize the processes, facilitate and accelerate the work at the height.

The lifting capacity of the equipment is 230 kg, the dimensions of the working platform with the additional extendable section are 2,59 x 0,7 m - thanks to these technical characteristics, the lift can comfortably accommodate two people with the necessary tools and carry out the work at the height of up to 7,77 m. Optimum 8 is only 0,79 m wide, allowing it to pass smoothly between the farms.

Like all of the equipment from European manufacturers, Haulotte Optimum 8 is equipped with the latest security systems. The automatically folding stops give the additional stability to the lift and protect the equipment from overturning. Haulotte Activ'Screen's on-board diagnostics will always alert the operator about the possible machine malfunctions.

Summing up, we can say that Haulotte Optimum 8 is the compact, reliable, unpretentious in use and maintenance self-propelled scissor lift.
