Repair of the Genie 5390 self-propelled scissor lift

When the lifting equipment breaks down and it is not possible to establish the cause of the malfunction or carry out repairs on the spot, the owner faces the question of transporting the machine to a specialized service facility. Lifts are overall equipment, therefore, only a company possessing a special transport can ship them. At VERTEX, the tshipment of equipment is carried out by its own tow truck.

Our valued and long-time client turned to us. The Genie 5390 self-propelled scissor lift broke down on its construction site. Using a tow truck and under the guidance of service specialists, the faulty lift was delivered to the VERTEX facility in Mytishchi, Moscow Region. The machine of 2011 yea of made by the time of breakdown had already worked 1102 hours.

The problem was the jammed hydraulic pump and, consequently, the inability to use the equipment for further work.

Repair included the following activities:

• diagnostics of the hydraulic pump in order to identify the causes of the malfunction;
• replacement of hydraulic pump valves;
• cleaning the hydraulic pump, replacing filters and hydraulic oil.

In total, diagnostics and repairs were completed in two days. Efficiency was facilitated by the availability of necessary spare parts and consumables in our own warehouse and the high qualification of our service specialists.

Genie 5390 went to the owner fully operational and ready for further usage.
