Self-propelled lift or truck-mounted platform?

You often ask us the following question: how does the lift differ from the truck-mounted platform? And why is it better to purchase/to lease exactly the self-propelled equipment?

Today we will tell you about the key differences:

  1. The self-propelled lift is suitable for both indoor and outdoor works. The truck-mounted platform can work only on the street.
  2. For truck-mounted platforms it is necessary to arrange an accsess to the site, but for self-propelled lifts there is no need to do this.
  3. The design of the boom and the cage of the self-propelled lift allows to bring people through the obstacle. The cage turns at the necessary angle of the working area.
  4. The self-propelled lift has a smaller dimensions than the truck-mounted platform.
  5. The self-propelled lift has a lower fuel consumption in comparison with the truck-mounted platform.
  6. Operating economy is an important distinction: the self-propelled lift does not require an additional specialist during operation (there is no driver-operator). There is no need of a specially trained operator with driving license when you work on the self-propelled lift. The person, operating on the lift, does not have to attend a compulsory daily medical examination unlike the driver of the truck-mounted platform.
  7. The truck-mounted platform is mostly rented for hourly rent, but for the construction site the equipment is required for quite long period, so that it is much more profitable to take the equipment with the day charge or with monthly pay.
  8. If you purchase equipment in the ownership, then it is not necessary to pay the transport tax for the self-propelled lift, unlike with truck-mounted platform, which travel on public roads.
  9. The market value of the truck-mounted platform decreases faster than the market value of the self-propelled lift.

It seems to us that the right choice is obvious! But of course the choice is yours!
