On May 13, 2021 a test drive of the new Haulotte HS 18 E PRO off-road self-propelled scissor lift was held on the VERTEX base!

It should be noted that thanks to Haulotte Vostok Company, VERTEX is the first Russian company that got the opportunity to test fully the sensational novelty from Haulotte.

And of course we want to share our impressions on the new machine with you. The first thing that we’d like to note is that the Haulotte HS 18 E PRO is the unique scissor lift with the hybrid power system which has no analogues among the competitors! The optional, removable, economical internal combustion engine is installed on the presented equipment to extend the autonomous work of the lift, as well as to connect the power tools on the platform.

The generator is placed in the sound-absorbing container, so it is practically inaudible in working condition. The rechargeable batteries for HS 18 E PRO can be charged in three ways:

1. From 220 V network
2. From 380 V network (accelerated charging)
3. Charging from the generator

The equipment is equipped with the Haulotte Activ'Energy Management function: the automatic system for filling of the battery with the water (optional). The new scissor pantograph system realizes the stable, smooth lifting and lowering of the platform. The platform of the equipment was equipped with the more convenient entrance gate (optional). Haulotte HS 18 E PRO is equipped with 4x4 all-wheel drive, the oscillating axle provides the excellent grip and improves the passability of the equipment on the site. The lift drives the electrical motor which is installed on the transfer case and rotates the wheels on the front and the rear axles. Due to this arrangement, the lift moves quickly but smoothly, that makes it easy to maneuver in the conditions of the construction site.

The solid cast perforated wheels with the pronounced ground hooks increase the passability of the equipment, but at the same time they don’t stain or damage the indoor flooring. The manufacturer has redesigned the outrigger casings that will ultimately extend their service life. We were presented with the lift in winter version. The heaters are installed on the equipment and the corresponding liquids are filled in that allows the equipment to operate in the temperature range from -30 to +40 degrees.

HS 18 E PRO like all models of the new generation from Haulotte is equipped with the built-in diagnostic device with the color display (Activ Screen). The Haulotte Activ'Lighting System function allows to realize the safe loading of the equipment in low visibility conditions.

Minimum of 10 lighting points are ideally positioned around the machine. We conclude after the passed test drive: the machine is the unique in its class, it contains many interesting technical solutions that will help to increase the efficiency of work on the equipment!
