Why is it important to maintain equipment on schedule

Maintenance of lifts should be carried out regularly. This is an important condition for uninterrupted, safe and long-lasting equipment operation, and not just a requirement of the manufacturer. With regular maintenance of lifting equipment, it is possible to diagnose technical problems at an early stage and thereby save time, nerves and even money. It is more economically advantageous to keep the lift in a technically good condition than to pay a decent amount for serious and sudden repairs or to buy new equipment.

Lifting equipment is primarily serviced in accordance with the requirements of the operating manual within the deadlines established by the manufacturer. When buying a lift from an authorized dealer, the customer is given a service book with a brand fixed in it, a model of the lift, its serial number, as well as a list and maintenance schedule. Planned maintenance is carried out after the necessary number of hours of work and / or upon reaching a certain period of operation of the machine.

So, last week, our specialists conducted maintenance # 3 of self-propelled articulated boom lift JLG 800 AJ. The following complex of works was carried out:

• replacement of engine, transmission and hydraulic oils;
• replacement of the air, oil, fuel filters of the engine, a set of hydraulic filters;
• lubrication of load-bearing components (guide booms, turntable, etc.) according to the lubrication chart;
• visual inspection of the lift
• verification with connection of diagnostic equipment

In addition to the planned maintenance, we strongly recommend: follow the regulations of the instruction manual, which includes daily inspection of the technical condition of the lift.
